3, 4, 5

Two boys means twice the fun and twice the craziness around our house.  Bennett is growing like a weed!  Here's what he's been up to these past 3 months....

  • Weighed 12 lbs. 12 oz. and was 23 1/2 inches long at his 4 month appointment.
  • Rolls from front to back consistently.
  • Nurses about 6-7 times a day, plus around 2 times at night.
  • Switches pretty easily between nursing and taking a bottle.  When he does have a bottle, he takes about 4 oz. at a time.
  • Smiles ALL THE TIME!  Really! The only times he really cries are when he's hungry and doesn't get milk fast enough, when he's getting his clothes changed, or if he gets overtired.
  • Doesn't like a wet or dirty diaper, and gets squirmy and fussy until he's changed.
  • Is "talking" up a storm.  Says several sounds: "ah", "g", "y", and starting to squeal.
  • Laughs a lot...when he's being tickled, at Davis and other people.
  • Has started eating table food.  Started with rice cereal, and has now had sweet potatoes, peaches, bananas, and avocado.  Likes everything except the avocados...wasn't too sure about those.
  • Is so funny when he sees anyone eating...he gets MAD and wants to eat, too!
  • Likes to snuggle and nap with his face snuggled up under someone's chin.
  • Has transitioned from sleeping beside me in the Rock n Play to his crib.  Most nights, he wakes up 2-3 times....was doing so well of sleeping through the night from 8:30-5:00/6:00, but started waking up again several time a night right around 4 months.
  • Still likes to be swaddled to sleep.
  • Loves to take a bath and kick his feet in his little tub.
  • Tries to watch tv ALL THE TIME!  I constantly have to turn him away from the screen if it's on and he's in the room.
  • So far, has a pretty easygoing and laid back personality.  He is a very happy baby!
  • Loves to be outside and go for walks in the stroller.
  • Favorite toys are his teethers, things that play music, and a little bird that vibrates when you pull down on it.
  • Loves to watch Davis and grins and coos when Davis talks to him

He is growing so fast...I can't believe he will be 6 months old next month!  We are so blessed to have him in our family, and I promise it won't be so long before I update our blog, next time!
